I thought the staff at Split Ends in Costa Mesa were among the rudest I have ever seen on the show. Did anyone ever teach any of those people basic etiquette. I thought the attitude of his staff torward a guest showed a complete lack of hospitality and grace. Gina’s foul mouth and catty attitude was digusting.

The owner of the Salon where Alex had to go (Christopher?) seems like he is a homophobic gay man himself.
He is SO uncomfortable around Alex for what seems to be no reason at all.
I think it’s because he is troubled by his own sexuality, and Alex is a constant reminder of the things that Christopher is uncomfortable of, and possibly even hates about himself.
Alex is a pretty, young, and sterotypical weho -ish “gay guy” , and Christopher sees all the things in him that he hates about himself.
He’s probably uncomfortable too, because Christopher is a reminder of his youth that is long gone, and he may also be attracted to him.

I just watched the show for the first time and I must say, Split Ends Salon needs to be bombed with the staff inside!!!! I couldn’t believe how rude and stuck up they were and that asian chick……funny how she thought she was hard….would love to knock her ass out if she tried to attitude with me. Christopher was hatin on Alex from the very beginning…probably because he wishes he was everything Alex was…..charming, well-mannered, classy, handsome and just seemed to be a beautiful person. I’m sure Christopher was crushing on Alex but I’m sure realized he didn’t have a chance in hell cause he turned around and hello, there was a mirror that harshly reminded him that he’s old, ugly and has no personality whatsoever.
Alex, your just a doll……..I was waiting for you to go off and beat Christopher’s ass but you never lost your cool……my hat off to you…..I wish you operated out of the Bay Area…would love to have you beautify me………and your eye candy too!!!!!
