Martino, owner of Martino’s Salon in Sewell, New Jersey, purchased from Giovanni and Pileggi  last year, is a Christopher Moltisanti wannabe.  Minus the gun.  All Italian silk and serious bling, he’s $300,000 in the hole, but spends mucho money on himself.  He may be a Christopher wannabe, but he has a Tony Soprano home.         MORE

Salon Makeovers by Tabatha

Tabatha Coffey is a talented hairstylist who appeared in the first season of Shear Genius on Bravo TV. Fans loved her so much they named her “fan favorite”. Now Tabatha has her own reality program on Bravo TV – Tabatha’s Salon Takeover. She was the guest judge on the second episode of Shear Genius this season, featuring The Real Housewives of Orange County. showcasing her hard-nosed, no nonsense approach.

Shear Genius: Cuttin’ Up with the RHOOC

In Wednesday’s episode, the housewives and their daughters will be clients in an elimination challenge. Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough, Lauri Waring, Tammy Knickerbocker, Tamra Barney and former housewife Kimberly Bryant are reported to be participants. Their daughters Briana, Kara, Ashley, McKenzie, Megan and Lindsey are said to be on the show as well.

“Some of the girls liked their hair, and the other girls were in tears,” said housewife Jeana Keough. “They had to go get their hair fixed (afterward). I wanted to be on the show for fun. But it was a major cut job for me. I had to go get extensions (afterward).”

Keough said the episode was shot in April on a set in Burbank made to look like a hair salon. A limousine picked up the ladies from their homes in Orange County and took them to and from the studio. Keough’s daughter Kara was flown in from Berkeley, where she’s attending college.

“When you cut somebody’s hair, it’s traumatic,” Jeana Keough said. “There’s very dramatic things happening” on the show.

Keough would not say who won the challenge, but she did say that there are some fascinating personalities on the series.

“Some of them were really characters (pot..meet kettle)– over the top, crazy, fun,” she said. “One of the haircutters said to Kimberly, ‘Go change. You look like an Orange County housewife.’”

Tabatha Coffey, last season’s fan favorite, is the guest judge.

Despite the fact that one of her relatives commented to Haireality  that Tabatha is as scary in real life as she seemed on television, I loved her on Shear Genius.
